Cold, wet, windy. Warm, dry, windy. Hot, dry, windy. Take our pick of temps, but we always get windy! Along with thunder, lightening, hail, and tornadoes.
We also get those first tender blossoms on the magnolia tree, along with the fragrant blooms of hyacinth and sunny daffodils. These are what convince us that Spring truly is here to stay.

When I came back to Nebraska last summer I new I'd crossed the border, not because a sign told me but because the wind hit the side of my truck and gave me a good shake. I laughed so hard because I new I was home at last and I'd never leave again for long.
Several years ago my sister Debbie and I had dinner on a riverboat in Tennessee. We shared a table with several other people. One of the men said he liked to hunt and heard that Ne. was a good place to go for pheasant. We said yes that several of out family members hunted. Then he said how he was told that the wind blew so much that the trees leaned way to the side, was that true. I looked him straight in the eye and said yep it was true. He said he'd have to go there just to see all the leaned over trees!
Living the good life on the Great Plains with my family. Blessed to be able to watch my grandchildren grow. "Someday" is not on the calendar and we need to live life right now. Do what you want to do, make memories with your family. Live well. Laugh often. Love much. That's how I try to do it.
