Baby birdies

These baby birds were hatched in a nest built in our Christmas wreath that was mounted on the garage. Yes, the wreath was left on the garage until way after Christmas. Okay, it's still up. I was going to take it down several weeks ago and I noticed the mama robin up there. I figured there were eggs, so I left it alone. This photo was taken a few days ago. I didn't see the babies today, but I'm not taking the wreath down until I know they've flown away. :o)

Well, what an honour the birds thought chose your wreath as a place to build their nest, Tammy! I hope all the babies fledge successfully.

Your wreath my clothesline! I have a whole nest of baby birds in the hollow of the crossarm on the clothesline. They are forever singing while I hang up the laundry. Their mother watches closely that I not disturb her babes. She's gotten used to me and has quit flying at my head. They should soon be off then another nest will fill up and the singing will go on all summer.
